When our youngest family members visit, the Savannah cats play with the children all day long. The only interruptions are for bathroom breaks, meals, and drinks. Otherwise, play continues happily from morning until evening.
Socialization with Children
Savannah Cat Childrens – Child-Friendliness
Before our Savannah kittens move into their new families, they are gently introduced to our younger siblings aged 5 to 12 years. This process is extremely important and should continue after they move into their new homes. During the first few weeks, the kittens gradually learn to control their claws during playtime. When they are a bit older, around 8 to 16 weeks, they tend to wrestle and nip lightly with their siblings. It is important at this stage to set clear boundaries and teach them appropriate behavior.
